The Colorado Department of Transportation continues bridge replacement work on Highway 285 between Fairplay and Antero Junction.
Beginning today, a three-month full closure of U.S. 285 between Colorado 9 and Highway 24 begins and will remain closed until mid-October.
Other road projects include chip sealing on Highway 285 between Monte Vista and Saguache. The project is expected to last until September.
Improvements to Colorado Highway 96 in Custer County continue.
The resurfacing project will improve 26 miles of CO 96 from Westcliffe to Wetmore and is expected to be completed in November.
Motorists should allow for travel delays of up to 15 minutes.
Motorists should also expect delays on Highway 24 from Woodland Park to Colorado Springs. Paving operations will reduce the highway to one-lane alternating traffic.
