The Forest Health Council is partnering with local and state agencies to host two free open houses aimed at educating residents about wildfire preparedness and the county’s wildfire plan.
The events begin at 6 p.m. and will take place at:
- Tuesday, May 6 – Buena Vista Community Center
- Thursday, May 15 – Chaffee County Fairgrounds
Presenting partners include the U.S. Forest Service, Colorado State Forest Service, Salida Fire Department, Chaffee County Office of Emergency Management, and utility companies.
