Campers at Cutty’s Resort in Coaldale were forced to evacuate quickly over the weekend as a wildfire broke out nearby. The fire was reported shortly before noon on Saturday, prompting an emergency response and temporary closure of Fremont County Road 6 at Highway 50.

🚨 Multiple local agencies responded to the scene, working through the day to bring the fire under control.
🔥 By late Saturday night, the wildfire was contained, and County Road 6 was reopened to traffic.

Although the fire is no longer actively spreading, smoke will remain visible in the area for several days.
