The Colorado State Forest Service is now accepting proposals from HOAs, community groups, local governments, and non-profit organizations seeking funding to restore forested areas, improve forest health, and reduce wildfire risk on non-federal lands in the state.  About $1 million in total funding is available.

The Forest Restoration and Wildfire Risk Mitigation Grant Program is designed to reduce risk to people and property in the wildland-urban interface and funds 50 percent of the total project cost.

Applications are due by October 23 and are available online at https://csfs.colostate.edu/funding-assistance.
