Salida Council to Vote to Cancel Election

The Salida City Council will hold a regular meeting tonight beginning at 6 pm.

There are two public hearings on the agenda, both dealing with changing the municipal code.  One concerns Short Term Rentals, the other concerns temporary commercial activities and vending permits.

Council will also vote on a resolution canceling the Salida November election because all five races are uncontested.  However, someone could file as a write-in candidate.  The deadline to file as a write-in is today.  If no write-in candidates declare today, the council can cancel the election at tonight’s meeting.
