The Whipple Bridge in Buena Vista has reopened for public use following the completion of recent improvements.
The pedestrian bridge, which crosses the Arkansas River in the Buena Vista River Park, was closed on January 5 to allow crews to complete upgrades to the bridge decking. Officials say the work is now finished, restoring a key connection for residents and visitors.
The Whipple Bridge provides access to the Midland Hills trail system and is a popular route for pedestrians and trail users. Its reopening reestablishes an important link between the river park and surrounding trail networks.
