There’s a full lineup of events happening across the region this weekend, offering something for everyone.

Tonight, downtown Salida hosts First Friday, featuring extended hours at local art galleries, along with demonstrations, receptions, live music, and opportunities to meet artists in their studios.

Also tonight, Hazel Miller and The Collective will perform at the Salida SteamPlant. Tickets are available online.

Saturday brings a variety of family-friendly Easter events. The Salida Community Center will host its Community Easter Egg Hunt at 9 a.m. at Thonhoff Park, followed by the Poncha Springs Easter Egg Hunt at 10 a.m. at Chipeta Park, which includes a free pancake breakfast and a visit from the Easter Bunny.

Later in the day, One Love Endurance will hold its third annual Easter Egg Hunt at 3 p.m. at McPhelemy Park in Buena Vista.

On Sunday, the Royal Gorge Bridge and Park will host an Easter Sunrise Service, with gates opening at 5:30 a.m. and the service beginning at 6:30 a.m.

Mt. Princeton Hot Springs Resort will also host an Easter Brunch from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Pavilion. Reservations are required. Families can also enjoy complimentary pony rides from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., along with a free Easter egg hunt on the front lawn at 1 p.m.

Additionally, Mountain West UAS will hold its April meeting Saturday at the Sangre de Cristo Electric Association Community Room on Highway 24 in Buena Vista. Taylor Albrecht will present on how drones are helping farmers and ranchers improve efficiency and profitability. Guests are welcome to attend.
