Applefest is tomorrow at Turner Farm and Apple Orchard in Buena Vista, celebrating harvest with live music, an apple pie bake-off, craft vendors, guided tours, and games for all ages. The festival runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and admission is by donation.

Farmers Markets are also tomorrow in both Buena Vista and Salida. The BV market runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Columbine Park, and the Salida market is from 8 a.m. to noon at Alpine Park.

The Salida 76 mountain bike race, part of Salida Bike Fest, happens tomorrow from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. starting and ending in Riverside Park. An after-party and free concert with Led Zeppelin tribute band Ten Years Gone runs from 6 to 8 p.m. The Banana Belt Mountain Bike Race follows on Sunday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Riverside Park.

The Greater Arkansas River Nature Association will present short films from the Colorado Environmental Film Festival tomorrow night at 6 p.m. at A Church, 419 D Street in Salida. Tickets are $15 for GARNA members and $20 for nonmembers at garna.org.

Buena Vista Heritage presents Madams of Central Colorado tomorrow night at 7 p.m., bringing to life the stories of Victorian-era “soiled doves.” The show is for ages 13 and up, and tickets are $25 at buenavistaheritage.org.

Tonight, the Chaffee County Patriots will host Buena Vista School Superintendent Lisa Yates at their monthly meeting beginning at 6:30 p.m. at St. Rose of Lima Church. Yates will provide updates on Buena Vista Schools.

And on Monday, the 12th annual BV Strong Community Dinner will take place, carrying forward its simple mission of “Just Dinner.” The event offers a nonpolitical, noncommercial space for Buena Vista residents to share food and friendship. Learn more at bvstrong.com.
