Weather Forecast for January 22nd

Artic air will push into the area late tonight and last into Sunday.  Very cold temperatures and snow is expected Friday through early Sunday.  Up to 2 feet of new snow will be possible along the Divide, 6-8 inches for the lower elevations. 

If you plan to travel during this period make sure you are prepared for extreme winter weather conditions.                 

Salida and Buena Vista will see a high of 51.  A low of 19.  (39-29)

The San Luis Valley can expect a high of 41, a low of 17.    (35)

Leadville and Fairplay look for a high of 33 with a low of 11.  (29)
