The Chaffee County Office of Housing and the Multijurisdictional Housing Authority are seeking interested persons to serve on the newly formed Chaffee Housing Authority’s Board of Directors. 

The nine-member board will have three members representing unincorporated Chaffee County, two members representing Buena Vista, two members representing Salida, and two members at large. 

Qualifications for these positions include being at least 18 years old, a full-time resident of Chaffee County, and having an interest in and support for creating safe, stable, and accessible housing for Chaffee County residents. 

Desirable qualifications for this inaugural board include experience in one or more of the following: strategic planning, housing and mixed-use development, fiscal oversight, and marketing and communications.

Danny “Dan R” Ridenour has been in radio and television broadcasting for over 40 years, starting as a senior in high school in Rogers, Arkansas. His radio career has had stops in Nashville, Memphis, Oklahoma, and eventually, Colorado. Dan enjoys being involved in the community, having been a member of the Upper Arkansas Service Club and is currently on the board of directors for the Salida Community Center and is a member of the Chaffee County Fair Committee. He and his wife Carrie spend their days doing everything the mountains have to offer: hiking, camping, fishing and skiing. They've raised 3 children and have 2 grandchildren.
