Chaffee County Public Health is inviting Buena Vista residents to take part in a unique volunteer opportunity this summer by becoming trained trishaw pilots.

The program offers free bike rides for older adults, creating opportunities for fresh air, social connection, and enjoyable time outdoors. A trishaw is a specially designed, electric-assist pedicab built with accessibility and comfort in mind.

Volunteer trainings will cover safe operation of the trishaw, best practices for rider experience, and overall program expectations. Two upcoming training sessions are scheduled for this Thursday and Friday, May 15.

To sign up or learn more, interested participants can call Aubrey at 719-429-8823.
