Expect road construction on US 285 this week.

Daytime Mobile Lane Closures on US 285 (near Fairplay) 6:30 am to 7:30 pm, Monday, September 30 through Thursday, October 3, 6:30 am to Noon, Friday, October 4.

Motorists will experience mobile lane restrictions for striping, shouldering work, and seeding.

Daytime Northbound Right Lane on US 285 (mile post 175-178) for seeding. 6:30 am to 7:30 pm, Monday, September 30 through Thursday, October 3, 6:30 am to Noon, Friday, October 4.

Drivers: Please Pay Attention & Slow Down! Pay close attention when driving near the US 285 Resurfacing Project.Speed reduction down to 40 mph in construction zone during the duration of the project.Slow down, observe speed limits, and avoid distractions.

Construction will take place during 6:30 am to 7:30 pm, Monday through Thursday, and sunrise to Noon, Friday. Alternative routes are suggested. Construction schedules are subject to change based on weather/unforeseen circumstances and schedule changes.

Project InformationThe Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) has initiated a 20-mile resurfacing and 3-mile widening (passing lanes) project located north and south of Fairplay, designed to improve safety and ride quality. The project includes 3-miles of passing lanes in each direction just south of Fairplay. It also includes culvert extensions, surface improvements and guardrail updates.
