The Federal Bureau of Investigation is working with local authorities after two men were found dead in a ravine along Phantom Canyon Road just outside Canon City.   

According to a press release from the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to the area on County Road 67 in reference to a suspicious death.   

Upon arrival, deputies confirmed that two deceased males had been located in a ravine.   

The press release state’s “Their injuries were consistent with foul play.” 

The victims’ names have not been released.   

Fremont County detectives in conjunction with agents from the FBI are actively pursuing leads in the case.   

The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office said that this is an ongoing investigation, and no further information will be released at this time.
