A Winter Storm Warning is in effect through noon tomorrow.
Heavy snow is expected. Total accumulations of 12 to 16 inches for the mountains and 4 to 8 inches for the valleys.
Travel will be difficult.
A Freeze Warning is also in effect as overnight lows will drop to the low 20’s in the valleys, mid-teens for the mountains.
Salida and Buena Vista can expect a high of 39 today, an overnight low of 23.
The San Luis Valley will see a high of 45, a low of 25.
Leadville and Fairplay will warm up to 29 today a low of 15.

His radio career has had stops in Nashville, Memphis, Oklahoma, and eventually, Colorado. He and his wife Carrie spend their days doing everything the mountains have to offer: hiking, camping, fishing and skiing. They've raised 3 children and have 2 grandchildren.
