Thunderstorms are expected to develop across the higher terrain this afternoon and evening, scattered across the valleys.
The main threats will be brief periods of heavy rainfall, lightning, and wind gusts up to 50 mph.
Salida and Buena Vista can expect a high of 89 today. Look for an overnight low of 59.
The San Luis Valley will see a high of 85, a low of 55.
Leadville and Fairplay will warm up to 73 with a low of 45.
