A Red Flag Fire Warning is in effect for much of our area. Mostly sunny skies and breezy conditions continue. Winds will be gusting to 45 mph. No open burning is allowed.
Salida and Buena Vista will see a sunny high of 67. A low of 39.
The San Luis Valley can expect a high of 65, a low of 31.
Leadville and Fairplay look for a high of 47 with a low of 23.
A cold front will move in Wednesday. This is not going to be a big rain or snow maker, with only a few showers expected. Behind the front, the forecast looks to remain cooler and unsettled throughout the rest of the week. Daily shower chances look possible from Thursday to Saturday with only isolated activity.
Danny “Dan R” Ridenour has been in radio and television broadcasting for over 40 years, starting as a senior in high school in Rogers, Arkansas. His radio career has had stops in Nashville, Memphis, Oklahoma, and eventually, Colorado. Dan enjoys being involved in the community, having been a member of the Upper Arkansas Service Club and is currently on the board of directors for the Salida Community Center and is a member of the Chaffee County Fair Committee. He and his wife Carrie spend their days doing everything the mountains have to offer: hiking, camping, fishing and skiing. They've raised 3 children and have 2 grandchildren.
