A tip from the public helped deputies uncover an estimated 200 pounds of processed marijuana and more than 100 marijuana plants in the town of Moffat last week, according to the Saguache County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies executed a search warrant across four structures on three separate properties, where they located the large stash along with evidence consistent with felony-level drug distribution activity. Investigators have not yet released details on potential arrests or charges connected to the case.
As a reminder, Colorado law allows adults to grow up to six marijuana plants per person, capped at 12 plants per household. Homegrown marijuana cannot legally be sold under state law.
