The Lighting of Christmas Mountain and Salida’s Parade of Lights are tonight starting at 6 pm.

The parade begins at 6pm at Alpine Park and ends at Riverside Park.

Immediately following the parade, the world’s largest Christmas tree will be lit on Christmas Mountain, Holiday Park will open and Santa will meet with all the boys and girls at the amphitheater.

Also after the parade, the Salida SteamPlant is hosting an open house sponsored by Pueblo Bank and Trust.  The open house will feature cookies, hot chocolate and a performance by the Salida High School Choir. 

Before the parade, stop by the Salida Community Center at the intersection of 3rd and F Street for a bowl of free chili and warm drinks. The center’s bathrooms will be open to the public during the parade.   

Lineup for the Parade of Lights will begin at 5:30 pm on F Street and will kick off at 6 pm.
