Teller County Sheriff Jason Mikesell will not advance to the gubernatorial ballot after failing to secure enough support at the Colorado Republican State Assembly.
Candidates were required to earn at least 30% of the delegate vote to move forward. Mikesell received 12% support, totaling 225 votes, well below the threshold needed to continue in the race.
Meanwhile, Scott Bottoms and Victor Marx each met the 30% requirement, securing their spots on the ballot as the race for governor moves ahead.
