Critical fire weather conditions will develop today along I-25 and across all of the plains as winds increase. In Salida & Buena Vista, we will see Sunny skies, with a high near 54. Windy, with winds potentially reaching up to 45 mph. Tonight, we will see a low around 34.
Over In the San Luis Valley, we will see sunshine, with a high near 50. Breezy, with winds reaching up to 25 mph. Tonight we will see a low around 24.
In Leadville & Fairplay we will see Mostly sunny skies, with a high near 35. Wind chill values between -5 and 5 degrees and with wind gusts as high as 30 mph. Then back down to a low around 20 overnight.
Looking towards the beginning of the week, a Fire Weather Watch will be in effect in the San Luis valley on Monday gusty winds up to 45mph.
Throughout the rest of the region, snow showers & high winds are likely to return on Tuesday.
