Summit County Patient Being Tested For Coronavirus

A patient at St. Anthony Summit Medical Center who has traveled to Italy is being tested for coronavirus. 

The medical center and the Colorado Department of Health are investigating the patient’s “respiratory illness” as a “possible case of novel coronavirus.”

Test results from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention will be available in about 24 hours. 

The patient has been isolated. The hospital said in a press release, “The health risk to the general public is considered low.”
