Stage I fire restrictions and an emergency recreational shooting ban have been put into effect for the San Isabel National Forest.

Under the Stage I fire restrictions, visitors are limited to smoking only in enclosed vehicles or buildings. Fires are only allowed in permanent fire pits or fire grates located in developed campgrounds.

Additionally, recreational shooting is now restricted unless the person has a current and valid state hunting license and is actively involved in hunting during the open season as specified by that license.

These measures have been implemented to help prevent wildfires and ensure the safety of all visitors and residents in the area. For more details on these restrictions and to stay updated, visit the official San Isabel National Forest website.
