An AARP Smart Driver course is being offered at the Salida Community Center this Friday. This one-day course runs from 1 to 5pm and is designed to help older adults improve driving skills by covering topics such as vehicle safety technologies, the effects of medications, and age-related physical changes. Many insurance companies will offer discounts on coverage after completion of the course.
The cost is $20 for AARP members, $25 for nonmembers.
