Sheriff Lifts Shelter-In-Place Order for Chaffee County

The shelter-in-place order has been lifted as of 9:45 am on November 21st.  

According to the Chaffee County Sheriff’s Office, after a vigilant search by air and ground, they believe the party has likely left our area. Continue to be aware of your surroundings and stay safe.

The suspect is 45-year-old Hanme Clark last seen driving a white Dodge Ram 1500 pickup. He is described as 6’3” tall, 200 pounds, with brown hair and eyes. If you see Clark, do not approach but call 911. Clark is considered armed and dangerous.

If you did not receive a reverse 911 call from either the Custer or Chaffee County Sheriff departments, you do not live in the area affected or you have not registered your cell phone with the Everbridge Elert system.
