Chaffee County Commissioners will hold a regular meeting today at the Buena Vista Community Center.
Commissioners will consider a special event permit for Seven Peaks Music Festival with a public hearing at 12:30 pm.
The hearing is a continuance from December 17th when Live Nation, the producer of the festival, requested that the county cover the cost of police and emergency services for the concert. Live Nation says last years concert brought in over $7 million for the county and almost $14 million to the state. They also say the festival created 144 jobs and brought in almost $800,000 in taxes. But they say they are not making a profit and want the county to help with kicking in financially.
The 2020 Seven Peaks Music Festival is scheduled for September 3rd through the 7th.
