Scammers Posing as City Community Development Department

The City has been alerted to a phishing scam in which hackers are posing as the City of Salida Community Development Department.
 

These emails come from the address –  and request payment via wire transfer. If you receive one of these emails in your inbox, report it as a phishing scam or delete it immediately. These emails may contain contact information of current City staff, but they are NOT from the City.

Just to be clear, only emails ending in @cityofsalida.com come from the City of Salida and its Community Development department. Also, the City will NEVER request payment through wire transfer.
