Salida’s sales tax collection for May dropped by $12,000 when compared to May 2021, but the city’s portion of the county’s sales tax increased by almost $16,000.
The City of Salida’s year-to-date tax collections are 5.2% over the city’s budgeted sales tax revenue.
The city collected $751,000 from its 3 percent sales tax in May, and $274,000 from the county.
