Meet Zelda! She’s the Heart of the Rockies Radio Pet of the Week!

Zelda was transferred in from Aztec Animal Shelter earlier this month to help ease kennel capacity in their shelter. She is a gorgeous 1-year-old female Domestic Medium Hair mix. She enjoys spending her days out on our “Catio” enjoying the warm summer air. Zelda makes friends with everyone she meets and would love to meet you soon!

All adoptable animals receive the following services prior to adoption:

  • Spay or Neuter
  • Age-appropriate boosters
  • De-wormer
  • Vaccines
  • Microchip

The Ark Valley Humane Society is open by appointment only, make sure to call (719) 395-2737 and schedule an appointment before coming to the shelter!

August Matching Campaign

Thank you to everyone who donated during the August Matching campaign! Greg & Ruth Phillips, Bob & Sarah McMahon, Cindy & Mike Newell & Judy Hamontre challenged YOU to help raise crucial funds for AVHS and graciously offered to double all contributions up to $15,500 from them. We raised over $31,000 for the animals! (The Shelter will report a total number in a week or so after all mail in checks arrive.)

Moonlight Monday
