The City of Salida will begin distributing candidate election packets for the upcoming 2025 municipal election on Tuesday, August 5.
This election cycle, voters will choose:
- One City Council member from each ward, and
- A new Mayor, as current Mayor Dan Shore has announced he will not seek re-election after serving eight years in city government — four on council and four as mayor.
To qualify for the ballot, candidates must:
- Meet residency and voter registration requirements, and
- Collect a minimum of 25 valid signatures from registered voters.
Packets and additional information will be available at Salida City Hall and on the city’s website at cityofsalida.com.
