Salida School District Remains in Remote Learning as 250 Staff and Students in Quarantine

Salida High School

All Salida School District schools are in remote learning again today. All buildings are closed.

Salida High School, Middle School and The Crest Academy will be on remote learning through Monday, November 2nd.

Salida School Superintendent David Blackburn said it is possible that the Early Childhood Center and Longfellow Elementary could reopen by Tuesday. They are waiting on some additional testing.

At this time there are 250 staff and students within the district under quarantine orders. Quarantine does not mean sick. Quarantine is an additional safety strategy to slow and mitigate the spread of Covid-19.

Horizons Exploratory Academy does not have any connections to the current cases and will continue with in-person learning today.
