The Salida School District has once again been named a “District of Distinction” by the Colorado Department of Education, placing it among the top 10 percent of districts statewide. Since 2013, Salida has earned this recognition seven times.
Superintendent Dr. David Blackburn said the recognition reflects the district’s commitment to students:
“We empower every student to reach their full potential and become thoughtful, emotionally intelligent citizens who pursue their dreams and support their community. Our philosophy is to know every student by name, by need, and by a connected adult.”
