The City of Salida is recommending that businesses apply for outdoor expansion.
The Salida City Council voted last week to allow outdoor dining and retail spaces into parking lots, parking spaces and even public streets. This would allow any business, not just restaurants, to occupy public spaces.
Two blocks of F Street are scheduled to close beginning this Thursday and remaining through much of the summer.
To apply to use public property you are asked to fill out the City of Salida application, remit a conceptual site plan, and return the revocable license agreement to the city clerk’s office.
