On May 11, 2026, seniors from Salida High School gathered at the SteamPlant Event Center alongside friends, family members and Salida Schools staff for the annual scholarship awards celebration.
During the event, local community organizations announced scholarship recipients for 39 different scholarship awards presented to the Class of 2026. In total, students received $156,500 in scholarship funding.
School officials noted that the total does not include scholarships awarded directly through students’ colleges or universities, nor major scholarship honors including the Boettcher Foundation Scholarships awarded to Finn Blackburn and Amelie Keyser, the Daniels Fund Scholarship awarded to Creede Phillips or National Merit Scholar recognition earned by Hawkin Sather.
Salida Schools congratulated the Class of 2026 honorees and thanked the many community partners who continue supporting local students and their future goals.
