The Salida Spartan football team put in a great effort on the road, but the 3A Summit Tigers were too much for them on Friday night, taking the game 50-28 by nights end.
Salida’s passing game was one of the major bright spots for the Spartans, with Zayne Walker throwing for 317 yards and throwing for 4 touchdowns. His favorite target on the night was Ben Fuller, who pulled in three of the touchdowns on the night, as well as 215 yards.
The Spartans will look to bounce back when they return home on Friday night against the Manitou Springs Mustangs. You can listen to that game on The Peak 92.3.
