The Salida Elks Lodge is calling on the community to help support its annual Christmas Basket program, which provides local families with food and gifts during the holiday season.
Organizers are seeking donations of non-perishable food items, new toys, and tax-deductible monetary contributions to purchase additional supplies. Community members can drop off donations at the lodge, located at 148 East 2nd Street, now through December 16.
Elks volunteers will assemble and distribute the Christmas Baskets on December 19 and 20, ensuring holiday assistance reaches families just in time for Christmas.
