The Salida City Council has approved the issuance of an order to show cause for Arlie Dale’s Jug Liquor, located at 220 North F Street, following multiple complaints about the business.
Council members took action after reports regarding the conduct of owner Chad Thornton and patrons at the liquor store. Salida Police Chief Russ Johnson formally requested that the council consider suspending or revoking the establishment’s liquor license.
The order to show cause will require the business to respond to the concerns at a public hearing, where council will review the case and determine whether disciplinary action is warranted.
The hearing is scheduled for April 7.
