The Salida high school mountain biking team finished in 5th place in the first division at this years opening race held in Nathrop, and Buena Vista finished in 8th place in the second division. Leadville would round out the local teams with a 14th place finish in the third division.

Individually, in the varsity girls, Salida saw Cassidy Gillis take 15th place as an individual out of 27 racers. Ruby Brown finished 24th and Olivia Kelly finished 26th.

In the boys varsity race, Logan Trenkle was the top finisher for the Buena Vista taking 32nd place overall out of 57 racers. Devon Downey of Salida finished in 54th and Grady Bott of Buena Vista 56th.
