Buena Vista took game one in walk off fashion from the Spartans 8-7 in the 7th. The Spartans, down 7-2 at one point, rallied to tie the game in the top of the 7th. Oakley Robison walked off Salida with a base hit to center field and take game one from Salida 8-7. The Spartans would bounce back in game to and hang on late to defeat the Demons 5-3 in Game 2 behind a great pitching performance from Anthony Taverna.
