As of Nov.1st, CMBH Partners of Texas, has taken over management of the Royal Gorge Bridge and Park.
Despite concerns that new owner transition might force a temporary closure over daily operations following the end of the previous 59-year lease held by The Royal Gorge Company of Colorado, CMBH president Brent Hargrave reported that the first day went smoothly, crediting the experienced staff.
According to a news release, some of the features are closed for maintenance, but most of the park’s rides and attractions will remain in place and functional. The carousel has been removed.
The company also says they plan to make improvements to the park, restore some existing guest experiences and introduce new offerings in the coming years. They have launched a redesigned official website at rgbridge.com.
