The Salida boys and girls ran into two different sets of tests, but two very good teams regardless on Friday night in Manitou.
The girls surprised most of the gym, keeping their game with Manitou tied at 21 after the first half of play, but the Mustangs would catch fire in the second half to earn the 51-34 win.
For the boys, 14 three’s from Manitou would spell the Spartans doom. Their second half would cut the deficit from as high as 30, but the final score of 82-61 was all that mattered in the end.
