Stage II Fire Restrictions Remain in Effect

Reminder: We are still under Stage II Fire Restrictions.

Stage II Fire Restrictions are in place for Chaffee, Custer, Park and Lake Counties along with the Town of Buena Vista and all BLM lands in Chaffee, Lake and Park Counties.

Stage II Fire Restrictions prohibit all open burning of any kind.

U.S. Forest Service officials have prohibited the use of campfires, along with charcoal grills and wood stoves.

The Forest Service has closed all recreational sites, including camp- grounds, in the Rocky Mountain Region.

All trails, trailheads and parking facilities remain open.  Trail users should be prepared for limited or no services such as restroom facilities and garbage collection.

The Mountain Counties of Colorado are NOT open for visitors, tourism, or leisure at this time.
