Widespread moderate to heavy rain, along with accumulating snow in higher elevations, is expected across the region through Wednesday.

Forecasters say colder air moving in tonight will lower snow levels to around 6,000 feet by tomorrow, bringing a mix of rain and snow to lower elevations and more significant snowfall in the mountains. Areas along the Continental Divide could see up to 9 inches of snow.

Travelers should be prepared for changing conditions, especially at higher elevations, where slick and snow-covered roads are possible.
