Not a ton of action yesterday, but a few major match ups, including a big one for the Salida soccer team! They were able to win their home contest with Pueblo Centennial 2-1, knocking off the #1 team in the 4A Colorado rankings. The Spartans are now 2-0 on the year after taking down Canon City last week.
In other action, the Salida girls fell on the volleyball court to the Florence Huskies in straight sets, dropping the first 15-25, before rallying for a close loss in set two 21-25. Florence would regain their swagger for the final set, taking it 25-13 to complete the sweep. Salida drops to 1-1 on the season, while Florence moves to 2-1.
