PHOTO GALLERY: Salida, Buena Vista tee it up at Four Mile Ranch

The Salida Spartans and Buena Vista Demons took to the links outside of Canon City on Thursday as part of the Canon City HS Invitational.

Scores were good, with all but one players firing under 100 on the day.

Aiden Hadley led both squads with an 85 good for 14th place and Chandler Smethers would also finish in the top 25 with an impressive 88.

The rest of the scores for Salida were freshman Ben Clayton shooting a 92, sophomore Eric O’Connor would finish with a 96 and sophomore Brandon Purcell wrapped up with a 98.

Buena Vista saw Cole Reavis finish with a 97, Quinn Philips a 98 and Max Johnson struggled with consistency in his swing, shooting a 110.

The two teams will be back in action on Monday in Trinidad as they take part in the first Tri-Peaks League tournament of the year.
