Pets of the Week: Ralphie & Gidget

Meet Ralphie and Gidget! They are the Heart of the Rockies Radio Pets of the Week!

This pair came to the shelter when their older owner had to move into assisted living. She was heartbroken to say goodbye to these sweethearts, and is hoping they will find a new home together. Ralphie is a 6 year old neutered male Domestic Longhair mix who loves to cuddle up next to you under the blankets to stay warm. Gidget is a 17 year old spayed female Domestic longhair mix who enjoys sunbathing and receiving pets & love.

They both have lived with a dog in the past and do well with other cats. AND since they are the pets of the week, their adoption fees are HALF OFF, pay just $25 for the pair!

All adoptable animals receive the following services prior to adoption:

Spay or Neuter
Age-appropriate boosters
De-wormer
Vaccines
Microchip

The Ark Valley Humane Society is open by appointment only, make sure to call (719) 395-2737 and schedule an appointment before coming to the shelter!

Cause for the Paws 2021

Wednesday, October 27th, from 3 to 5 pm is the Cause for the Paws Radio Auction right here on Heart of the Rockies Radio! We will be live in studio to give you updates on shelter happenings and programs, and auctioning off wonderful gift baskets to help raise money for AVHS!

One item that will be auctioning off is a 3 night stay in a beautiful 5 bedroom Victorian home in Salida!
