Petitions Open Tomorrow for Buena Vista Mayor and Trustees

Buena Vista’s next regular municipal election will be held November 3rd. Voters will elect a mayor and three town trustees.  The seats are currently held by Mayor Libby Fay and Trustees Cindie Swisher, Chris Sturm and Maggie Huyck. 

Residents interested in running for office may begin circulating nominating petitions on August 4, 2026. Completed petitions must be filed with the Town Clerk no later than August 24th. 

Ballots will be mailed to all active registered voters beginning October 12, 2026. Voters are encouraged to verify or update their voter registration and mailing address before ballots are mailed. Registration updates may be completed online at www.GoVoteColorado.com or in person at any Voter Service and Polling Center (VSPC) through Election Day.
