Meet Tank! He is the Heart of the Rockies Radio Pet of the Week!

Tank is a 9-month-old American Pit Bull/Mastiff mix. He has lived with several dogs in his previous home and older kids and done great with both! Tank is a huge love who will lean right into you when you spend time with him. Please help us find this big puppy a home!

All adoptable animals receive the following services prior to adoption:

  • Spay or Neuter
  • Age-appropriate boosters
  • De-wormer
  • Vaccines
  • Microchip

The Ark Valley Humane Society is open by appointment only, make sure to call (719) 395-2737 and schedule an appointment before coming to the shelter!

3rd Annual T-Shirt Fundraiser

The 3rd annual t-shirt fundraiser is live! “Big Heads Bigger Hearts” truly describes so many of the pups we see every day at the shelter, but especially our bully breeds (like Tank!) Head over to bonfire.com/adoptatavhs before this campaign ends on June 27th to get yours!

Pet Food Drive

High Country Bank is hosting a food drive for the animals of AVHS this Friday (June 17) from 10 am to 2 pm at their Buena Vista location. All pet food accepted!

Huge thank you to everyone who donated at our Salida food drive last week, we had over 1300 lbs. of dry food and 90 cans of wet food donated!
