This week’s featured pet is Remus, a 7-month-old Cane Corso mix who is as affectionate as he is energetic.
Remus loves attention from people and has already spent time with volunteers, dog trainers, and even photographers. He’s also enjoyed off-site adventures, where he consistently does well outside of the shelter environment. Those who have worked with him say continued socialization would greatly benefit his development.
While the goal is always adoption, Remus would also thrive in a foster home. A temporary or permanent home would give him a much-needed break from kennel life, and he has already shown great habits, including no kennel accidents or destructive behavior. This big, lovable pup is ready to succeed in a home setting.
In other news, participants are encouraged to register soon for the Tails on the Trail 5K Run/Walk for Animals. Whether you’re racing to win, enjoying a scenic walk with your dog, or just there for the fun atmosphere (and freebies), organizers say you’ll want to sign up before the May 12 deadline to guarantee an event t-shirt.
