Pet of the Week: Penelope

Meet Penelope! She’s the Heart of the Rockies Radio Pet of the Week.

Penelope is a sweet 12 year old female Chihuahua mix. She can be a little sassy when you first meet her, but if you give her just a day or two she will warm up and be your best friend! She’d do best in a home without too much foot traffic. She’d prefer to be the one and only pup in the home too, but is able to co-exist with other calm dogs.

Because Penelope is the Pet of the Week, her adoption fees are 50% off. Adoption fees vary by age and animal. Visit the Ark Valley Humane Society‘s website to learn more.

Spay or Neuter
Age-appropriate boosters
De-wormer
Vaccines
Microchip

Cats At The Shelter

Most cat’s who are brought to the shelter are not reclaimed- if you find a healthy cat in town who is in no immediate danger, instead of bringing them to the shelter where it will likely never see it’s family again, please put a paper collar with your info on it- it likely is an indoor/outdoor cat who will return home all on it’s own! if no one calls after a few days then bring it to us.
