Meet Kitty Cat! She’s the Heart of the Rockies Radio Pet of the Week!
Kitty Cat is a loving 10-year-old domestic medium hair mix. Kitty Cat is missing her left eye and, for her safety, is required to remain an indoor-only cat in her adoptive home. She arrived at the shelter very matted and received a lion-cut shave which is currently regrowing!
Kitty Cat is an incredibly loving and affectionate cat. She’s currently at the shelter, stop by to meet her today! P.S. Since she is a ‘senior’ cat she is considered “priceless”, her adoption fees are waived.

Tails on the Trail
The Ark-Valley Humane Society’s 2023 Tails on the Trail 5K is Saturday, May 20th, and there are some major improvements this year. The 5K course has moved to Tenderfoot hill in Salida and this year, AVHS is hosting an after party at the Salida SteamPlant. Whether or not you join in during the 5K, you can still celebrate after the race.
Friendly, leashed dogs are welcome at the SteamPlant plaza (just outside).
Fundraising games, brunch from KalamataPit catering, and music and merriment for all will take place at the SteamPlant directly following the 5K race, which starts at 11 am. Tickets are available at ark-valley.org/events/tott/, or party only tickets can be purchased here: ark-valley.org/tott-party-only/.
